A Computational Study of Cytotoxicity of Substituted Amides of Pyrazine-2-carboxylic acids Using QSAR and DFT Based Molecular Surface Electrostatic Potential
Pyrazine derivatives are important class of compounds with diverse biological and cytotoxic activities and clinical applications. In this study, B3 p 86 / 6 – 31 + + G * was used to compute and map the molecular surface electrostatic potentials of a group of substituted amides of pyrazine-2-carboxylic acids to identify common features related to their subsequent cytotoxicities. Several statisti...
متن کاملUltrasound-Promoted Synthesis of Aryl Amides from Isocyanides and Carboxylic Acids under Ambient Conditions
The synthesis of aryl amides via the reactions of carboxylic acids and isocyanides in methanol was carried out in 78-95% yields under ultrasound irradiation. The method has wide applicability, and the protocol is mild, fast and efficient compared to the existing methods based on silent conditions.

متن کاملThe amide of galacturonic acid with lysine as an immunodominant component of the lipopolysaccharide core region from Proteus penneri 42 strain.
Most Proteus lipopolysaccharides (LPSs) contain uronic acids or their amides with different amino acids, which together with other negatively charged components account for the acidic character of such LPS molecules. Previous studies have shown the significance of an amide of galacturonic acid with lysine [D-GalA(L-Lys)] for serological specificity of O-antigens from few P. mirabilis strains. I...
متن کاملOrtho-aminobenzoic acid as a fluorescent probe for the interaction between peptides and micelles.
Ortho-aminobenzoic acid (o-Abz) has been used as a fluorescent probe in internally quenched fluorescent peptides for continuous protease assays. We investigated the fluorescent properties of the probe in order to verify if it can be used to monitor the interaction of peptides with micelles. Abz-aminoacyl-monomethyl amides (Abz-Xaa-NHCH(3), where Xaa=Arg, Phe, Leu and Glu) were synthesized. Quan...
